Staking Boost Benefits Explained
Staking $MINT doesn't just lock up tokens — it actively makes your time on Mint more rewarding. Here's exactly what your boost does and how it works.
What a Boost Does
When you stake $MINT and receive veMINT, you get a percentage boost that amplifies certain rewards:
| Reward Type | Boosted? | How It Helps |
|---|---|---|
| XP Earning | Yes | You earn more XP per bet, climbing ranks faster |
| Rakeback | Yes | Your rakeback % increases above your rank's base rate |
| Daily Reward Pool | Yes (indirectly) | Higher XP means a bigger share of the daily pool |
| Lossback | No | Stays fixed to your rank level |
| Leaderboards | No | Rankings use raw XP without any boost |
| Rank-Up Rewards | No | Fixed milestone bonuses |
| Streak Rewards | No | Fixed milestone bonuses |
How Big Is the Boost?
Your boost percentage depends on two things: how much $MINT you stake and how long you lock it for. Bigger stakes and longer locks = higher boost.
There is a maximum boost cap to keep things balanced, but even a modest stake will give you a noticeable edge in XP earning and rakeback.
A Quick Example
Say you're Rank 5 with a base rakeback of 0.35%, and your staking boost is 20%:
- Your effective rakeback becomes 0.42% (0.35% × 1.2)
- Every bet you place also earns 20% more XP than it normally would
- Your larger XP contribution means a bigger slice of the daily reward pool
Over time, that boost compounds — you reach higher ranks sooner, which unlocks even better base rates, which then get boosted further.
Why It Matters
The boost system is designed to reward players who believe in Mint for the long term. By staking, you're signalling commitment — and Mint rewards that commitment with tangible, everyday benefits on every bet you place.
