XP Earning Rates by Game Type
Not All Bets Earn the Same XP
At Mint, the XP you earn from each bet depends on the type of game you're playing. Different games have different house edges, so we apply category multipliers to keep things fair and make sure every type of player can progress.
Here's how XP earning breaks down across game types:
Game Category Multipliers

| Sportsbook | 1× (using a fixed 3% edge) | Sports bets use a standardised 3% house edge for XP calculations, keeping things consistent regardless of the actual odds. |
| Prediction Markets | 0× (no XP) | These are peer-to-peer markets with minimal house edge, so they don't currently earn XP. This may change in the future. |
How XP is Calculated
Your XP for each bet is calculated using this formula:
XP = Wager × House Edge × 100 × Boost
The house edge used depends on the game, and is capped at a maximum of 5% — so even if a game has a higher edge, you won't earn extra XP beyond that cap.
Quick examples:
- $100 on Slots (5% edge): $100 × 0.05 × 100 = 500 XP
- $100 on Live Blackjack (1% edge, 3× multiplier): $100 × 0.01 × 100 × 3 = 300 XP
- $100 on Sportsbook (3% fixed edge): $100 × 0.03 × 100 = 300 XP
If you also have a veMINT staking boost, your XP is multiplied further on top of these rates.
Why the Difference?
The multiplier system exists to reward all types of players fairly. Without it, someone playing low-edge live casino games would progress much slower than a slots player betting the same amount. The 3× multiplier on live games levels the playing field so you can play what you enjoy and still climb ranks at a competitive pace.
