Login Methods & Changing Your Authentication
Which login methods does Mint.io support?
Mint.io uses a passwordless-first authentication system powered by Privy. The methods currently available are shown on the login screen and may include email, supported social/OAuth accounts, Telegram and external crypto wallets.
Use the same account, not a new one
If you want to add another login method, link it to your existing Mint.io account where the option is available. Do not create a second account to change your email, wallet or social login.
If you are unsure which method is linked to your account, contact Support before creating or connecting anything new.
Security tips
- Never share a seed phrase, private key, one-time passcode or recovery code
- Mint.io staff will never ask for your seed phrase or private key
- Keep your linked email, social account, device and wallet secure
- Enable any security features offered by your login provider
What if I use a VPN?
VPN use alone is not a Terms violation if you are otherwise eligible and are not physically in an Excluded Territory. Do not use a VPN to bypass geo-blocking, misrepresent your location or evade verification. Mint.io may ask you to disable it temporarily while an eligibility or security check is completed.
If you are locked out, use the Troubleshooting Login Issues article or contact Support.
